Robert Diaz

Robert J. Diaz,

CFP®, AAMS® Senior Financial Advisor

Robert’s early interest in personal finance, entrepreneurship and how money works ultimately guided him to a career in financial planning. A native to Alton, Illinois, Robert began his career with Waddell & Reed in 2009 and moved to Edward Jones in 2011.

Today, he uses his 15-plus years of experience to help families, business owners and institutions plan and deliberately invest to help achieve their goals – whether that’s to put their children through college, retire smart and live their ideal lifestyle, or leave a legacy to their family and loved ones. Robert’s depth of knowledge, quality customer service skills and customized planning approach has made him a sought-after financial advisor in the Riverbend area.

In July 2022, Robert realized a lifelong dream of co-founding and leading his own wealth management practice, Confluence Wealth Management which is aligned with Raymond James. Confluence brings together a team-based approach and personalized financial advice using some of the industry’s most comprehensive resources.

Before his career in finance, Robert earned a degree in Economics from the University of Illinois in Champaign. He is a Certified Financial Planner® professional and holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ (AAMS®) designation. Robert is an active member of the Alton-Godfrey Rotary Club and has served on several community boards, including The Nature Institute and Alton Main Street.

In August 2025, Robert was named to the 2025 edition of the Forbes Best-in-State Next-Gen Wealth Advisors.

When not in the office, you can find Robert spending time with his wife, Sam, and their daughter, Ava. He enjoys golfing, traveling and St. Louis sports (Let’s GO Blues!).
