Doug is a Wealth Management Specialist with more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. His focus is working with high-net-worth clients on financial planning, trusts, retirement planning, charitable giving strategies and investment management, including individual stock selection and bond laddering strategies.

He takes a diversified approach to managing his practice and makes use of both separately managed accounts and a more traditional approach that includes individual equities, fixed-income investments, variable annuities and mutual funds.

Doug opened the Fredericksburg office of Raymond James in 2006 after 17 years with two regional firms that were subsequently merged into larger companies. He believed that the interests of his clients are best served by working for an employee-owned, publicly traded company. Doug researched the different options and found Raymond James to be the right fit for his clients and himself. He serves as a member of the Raymond James Retirement Solutions Advisory Board.

Highly active in community organizations, Doug is a former board member of the Fredericksburg Area Museum & Cultural Center and serves on the finance committee of Beth Sholom Temple in Fredericksburg. He is also a sponsor of Art Comes Alive at the Fredericksburg Area Museum and the Empty Bowl fundraiser at the Rappahannock Counsel on Domestic Violence.

Born in Colonial Beach, Virginia, Doug is a graduate of the University of Maryland. As an avid alumnus, he has served on the board of the Terrapin Club, the scholarship arm of the school’s athletic program.

Doug and his wife, Randee, have been married for more than 30 years and have two sons, Josh (a graduate of the College of Charleston) and Andrew (a graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill). When not busy serving his clients, Doug enjoys UNC and UMD sports, fishing with his sons and reading 20th century American history. He and Randee enjoy traveling and anything that involves their family.

Raymond James is not affiliated with any of the organizations listed above.
