Joseph “Chip” P. Williams Jr,

CFP®, ChFC®, CLU® Principal, Coquina Private Wealth Branch Manager

As a founder of Coquina, Chip’s approach to financial services centers around his sharp ability to create strategies when there’s an uncommon or complex need based on a client’s profession, position or situation in life that calls for elevated support and a sophisticated strategy.

His mathematical mind and love for sports makes for a quality combination when it comes to creating personalized financial strategies for his clients. To deliver high-level collaboration, Chip embodies integrity, respect and care with clients to build a quality team. His sports skills have helped him evolve into a ‘performance leader’ – one who is highly results oriented.

Chip is a Certified Financial Planner professional, a Chartered Financial Consultant® and a Chartered Life Underwriter®. His professional designations are underpinned by a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania – a place where he further nurtured his love for playing sports.

While Chip is equipped to serve a range of specific client needs, he is especially skilled at supporting business owners and executives, as well as farming and shipping industry owners. It’s his goal to “help clients manage their money and life events. I believe there are four primary areas of concern regarding building and distribution of money: what happens if you live, what happens if you are disabled, what happens if you die, and aggravation when others want to take your money. This applies to business too.”

Outside the office, Chip has been involved in many activities and charitable endeavors over the years, but one that’s been most important to him is therapeutic horse-riding. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, sports, reading and summering in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Chip grew up in San Francisco and New York City, and currently resides in Boynton Beach, Florida with his long-term significant other, Pam.
