Dennis Zhang joined Raymond James in 2018 and leads the firm’s Asia investment banking business. He is based in San Francisco but spends half of his time in Asia. He works across all industry verticals and product categories to deliver investment banking services to clients in China and Asia in general.
Mr. Zhang has more than 11 years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining Raymond James, Mr. Zhang spent eight years in Stifel’s Investment Banking division, last serving as a director and head of the firm’s China coverage practice focusing primarily on IPOs of Chinese companies in the U.S. and cross-border M&A transactions between China and the U.S. Prior to Stifel and during his MBA studies, Mr. Zhang spent time as an investment banking summer associate with Citi’s financial sponsors and consumer and retail groups. He also spent three years with Context Capital Group, a New York City based investment banking firm focused on middle market M&A and private placements.
Mr. Zhang has a bachelor’s degree in English and International Economics from Beijing Foreign Studies University, a Master of International Affairs degree from Columbia University, and an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and English.
