Gareth Hughes

Gareth Hughes is a Managing Director in Raymond James’ Diversified Industrials group and leads the firm’s coverage of the Specialty Distribution sector. Mr. Hughes has extensive experience advising industrial, construction and electrical distributors, and frequently collaborates with industry bankers across a broad spectrum of distribution verticals. Prior to joining Raymond James, he spent six years in the Investment Banking Division at Credit Suisse in London. During his career to date, he has executed over $50 billion in M&A transactions and over $8 billion in capital markets transactions, covering both equity and high yield financings. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Mr. Hughes worked on assurance and forensic services assignments at PwC and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He received his BSc in Economics and History, summa cum laude, from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom.
