Carla Tharp joined the Raymond James Energy Investment Banking group in August 2016 as managing director. She has over 25 years of experience in energy valuations and transactions as an engineer and investment banker. Previously at Lantana Energy Advisors/SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Ms. Tharp gained significant experience with E&P transactions for both private and public upstream E&P companies. Prior to joining Lantana, she founded C T Tharp & Co. in 2010 to provide acquisition and reservoir engineering consulting services. From 2007 to 2010, she co-founded Bent Oak Energy Interests, LLC and was a partner and VP of engineering for Parks & Luttrell II, LLC. Her career began with GCO Drilling, IP Petroleum and Torch Energy Advisors. Ms. Tharp received a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University and is a registered professional engineer in Texas.
