Jonathan Tyler joined Raymond James in 2025 as co-head of the chemicals group for the Diversified Industrials practice. He has 30 years of international experience, all chemical-industry focused, and works with a mix of public and private corporates and private equity firms. He has taken on a broad spectrum of advisory work in a range of different sized M&A, IPOs, financial restructurings and capital raisings. He has strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, stemming from being a ranked equity analyst for roughly the first ten years of his career at firms like UBS and Goldman Sachs. At Perella Weinberg and Houlihan Lokey, he advised on some of the largest and most complex transactions in the chemical sector. He was an expert witness for the Dow Chemical management team in the Rohm and Haas v. Dow Chemical court case. He has worked on projects in several value chains within the chemical industry, including varied specialty chemicals products, cosmetic and food ingredients, agrochemicals, industrial gases and commodity chemicals. In recent years, he has specialised more on emission reduction technologies. He holds a degree in chemistry from Imperial College and later graduated from the London Business School.
