Liz Nesvold has been advising financial services companies on M&A, valuation and strategic advisory work for 25+ years. She has completed more than 250 transactions for a variety of clients including wealth advisors, traditional and alternative managers, trust companies and banks, multi-family offices, TAMPs, OCIOs, independent broker dealers, investment consultants and the like. Liz founded Silver Lane Advisors, a top-ranked boutique M&A advisor in 2007, and she joined Raymond James in 2019 as part of the acquisition of her company.

In 2021, Liz was honored with the prestigious M&A Advisor Leadership Award for her significant contributions to the industry, and she was inducted into The M&A Advisor Hall of Fame. She was also a “Women to Watch” honoree by InvestmentNews magazine for her leadership in the financial advisory industry in 2019.

A frequent speaker at numerous industry conferences and seminars, she co-authored The Art of M&A Valuation, published by McGraw-Hill and has authored several articles, including “Who’ll Be Left Standing” and “How to Make Money in Wealth Management,” Trust & Estates, and “How to Sell the Family Business (Without Losing Your Sanity)” for Private Wealth Management.

Liz is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization, CHIEF and 100 Women in Finance. She earned a BA from Binghamton University and an MBA in Finance (with High Honors) from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business.
