Joe Estes joined Raymond James in 2005 as a managing director and presently serves as a Vice Chairman of Investment Banking. Prior to joining Raymond James, Mr. Estes was a managing director in the investment banking practice of J.P. Morgan, during which time he served as the head of the firm’s southeastern region. He previously served as co-head of J.P. Morgan’s software and services investment banking practice nationally, and he concurrently served as a member of J.P. Morgan’s technology, media and telecommunications operating committee. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Mr. Estes was a managing director and head of the Technology and Communications investment banking practice of Robinson-Humphrey, which at the time was an operating subsidiary of Salomon Smith Barney and Citigroup. Mr. Estes graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University with a degree in economics and received an MBA in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
