Rob Baird was named a senior managing director and head of public finance in April 2012 following the firm’s acquisition of Morgan Keegan. Mr. Baird joined Morgan Keegan in 1979 as a public finance banker, where he served in many leadership positions including most recently as head of the firm’s investment banking division. This division encompassed all investment banking activities including public finance and debt investment banking. Under Mr. Baird’s leadership, Morgan Keegan was consistently ranked as one of the leading managing underwriters of new issue municipal bonds in the nation. The combined Raymond James public finance/debt investment banking division is comprised of more than 240 banking professionals located in 40 locations nationwide, making this group one of the largest in the industry. Mr. Baird resides in Memphis and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee.
