Chief Operating Officer, Global Equities and Investment Banking
Robert Miller joined Raymond James in 2004, and was named chief operating officer for Equity Capital Markets in January 2012. In addition to his COO role for Equity Capital Markets, Mr. Miller is responsible for the group’s financials, budgeting, and reporting, and has management responsibility for the continental European research, sales, and trading activities. Mr. Miller serves as a member of the firm's Capital Markets Commitment Committee. Prior to his current role, Mr. Miller was president and chairman of Raymond James International Holdings, which had oversight of the firm’s foreign joint ventures. Prior to joining Raymond James, Mr. Miller held several positions with American Express, including director of institutional risk analysis. Previously, he was affiliated with AT&T Universal Card. Mr. Miller holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. degree in economics and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar.
