Raymond James Investment Banking wins three “Deal Of The Year” Awards from the M&A Advisor

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James Investment Banking was recognized with top honors at The M&A Advisor’s 16th Annual M&A Advisor Awards Gala. The awards were presented at a ceremony held during the 2017 M&A Advisor Summit on November 13 at The Metropolitan Club in New York City.

This year, Raymond James took home three deal of the year awards for its role in two advisory transactions.

The sale of BISAM Technologies to FactSet Research Systems, led by Brendan Ryan and Garrett DeNinno with support from Harald Maehrle in Europe of the Technology & Services Investment Banking team, was recognized with “Financials Deal of the Year (Under $250mm)” and “Cross Border Deal of the Year ($100mm–$500mm).”

The sale of PaySimple to Providence Equity, led by Jon Steele and Paul Fricilone of the Technology & Services Investment Banking team, was recognized with “Private Equity Deal of the Year ($100mm-$250mm).”

These awards are the most recent in a string of honors from The M&A Advisor in 2017. In July, Raymond James won two deal of the year awards at the International M&A Awards. In addition, for the fifth time, two members of the Raymond James Investment Banking team were named to the M&A Advisor Emerging Leaders list. Finally, in April the Restructuring & Recapitalization team was recognized with two deal of the year awards at the annual M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards.

Celebrated since 2001, the annual M&A Advisor Awards Gala honors the industry leaders and top performing professionals whose activities set the standard for M&A transactions. This year, over 280 nominees representing over 650 companies became finalists for the awards. An independent judging committee of 29 top M&A industry experts determined the ultimate recipients of the awards.
