George joined Raymond James in 2002 and is a managing director with responsibility for the firm’s public finance activity in South Carolina. George began his public finance career with the Richmond, Virginia-based firm of Craigie Incorporated in 1973, where he worked continuously until 2002. In 2002, following the acquisition of Craigie by BB&T, George relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, where he covered the states of Georgia and South Carolina for BB&T’s public finance effort. George is a generalist in public finance with experience in a wide variety of transactions including traditional municipal general obligation and revenue bonds, higher education, student loan financing, multifamily housing, solid waste disposal and private purpose financings. George received a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Tech in 1971 and an MBA from the University of Virginia in 1973. He holds Series 7, 9/10, 24, 50, 52, 53 and 79 professional licenses.
