Raymond James Investment Banking brings home International Deal of the Year and Leadership accolades from The M&A Advisor

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James Investment Banking was recognized at The M&A Advisor’s 7th Annual International M&A Awards gala on April 28 in New York.

Before a sold-out crowd at the New York Athletic Club, Raymond James took top honors in two Deal of the Year categories:

Cross Border M&A Deal of the Year (Over $250mm - $500mm): Acquisition of AdColony by Opera Software, led by bankers Jason Harkness and Shane McDaniel.

Financial Services Deal of the Year: Sale of Cardiff Holdings Corp.’s subsidiaries Shoreline and Source One Direct to Gemalto, led by bankers Kate Crespo, Steve Hufford and Adam Kauffman.

“These deals in particular speak to the strong relationships and deep expertise our team brings to the table, as well as to their commitment to generating the best possible outcomes for their clients,” said Jim Bunn, head of Investment Banking at Raymond James. “We’re very proud to be recognized for the hard work that our bankers put in.”

Bunn was also one of two recipients of the 2015 Leadership Award, which recognizes honorees for their individual accomplishments, contributions to their firms and lasting impact on the industry at large.

Winners at the 7th Annual International M&A Awards were selected from a pool of more than 500 companies, representing every major market in the world, by an independent judging committee of 19 top cross border M&A industry experts.

These leadership and deal awards are the most recent in a string of honors from The M&A Advisor. In January, Raymond James was named Investment Banking Firm of the Year and recognized in three Deal of the Year categories at The M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards. Last November, three deals completed by Raymond James Investment Banking earned Deal of the Year status at The M&A Advisor Awards gala. Last May, Brendan Ryan, a managing director in the Raymond James Technology Services Investment Banking practice, was named a 40 Under 40 Recognition Award winner in the Dealmaker category. Raymond James was also recognized with two Deal of the Year awards at last year’s International M&A Awards.
