Carly joined the Crux Wealth Advisors team at our Long Beach headquarters in 2021 as a Financial Advisor.
The planning process excites Carly, and it’s where she thrives working with her clients. She is an excellent communicator and can bridge information about where her clients are and where they want to go. From establishing relationships by listening carefully to each client’s story, concerns, and goals to crafting a customized plan and continually reassessing and adjusting strategies as needed, she enjoys the process that her role requires.
Carly understands the many priorities in each of her client’s lives and how the financial planning process can be overwhelming to many. She is committed to sharing knowledge with clients in a way that is clear and relatable. Carly’s clients appreciate her ability to explain and simplify sophisticated investment strategies. She enjoys teaching the importance of planning and creating balance by helping others attain their financial goals while also invoking confidence and trust. She also uniquely incorporates her graphic design skills and passion for visually appealing data and has created a distinctive style to present a financial picture without losing the necessary detail required.
Carly’s adaptable and authentic approach to the financial planning process avoids an intimidating experience. Instead, she guides clients to a precise, understandable, honest, and individualized experience. She continually stays curious, which attracts her toward areas of uncertainty and allows her to approach these with a positive attitude and a strong urge to explore, discover, and grow to benefit her professional development, which is to ultimately benefit her clients.
Before joining our team, Carly gained essential experience in various roles with LPL Financial. She began her career as a Financial Advisor with Madrid Retirement Advisors and was most recently a Financial Planning Services Coordinator with The Reserve Investments. Carly was inspired to pursue a career in financial services because she saw the need for a new generation of advisors in the industry with a valuable perspective on the evolving world of financial advising. She earned a Finance degree with a concentration in Personal Financial Planning from Southern New Hampshire University. She also graduated from the Leadership Hermosa Beach program and is a member of the Financial Planning Association.
When I’m not at work, you can find me involved with a variety of activities. I like spending time with my cat, Ellie, reading books, especially by my favorite author, Malcolm Gladwell, cooking and learning new recipes, and playing guitar. I enjoy keeping physically active and often practice Pilates, and I love to explore the beauty of our national parks.
I feel fortunate to have many interests outside of the office, a great support system, along with a strong passion for my career. I credit my drive and determination to my upbringing. I grew up in a single-parent household in low-incoming housing, where my mom was largely able to support my younger brother and me through public assistance programs during my childhood and high school. I experienced first-hand the impact that financial stress can have on a family. Because of that, I feel that I have a unique perspective that inspires me to help others so others can avoid preventable hardship resulting from a lack of financial planning.
