Scott’s objective is to serve as a knowledgeable and loyal financial partner for his clients throughout their personal journey and he ultimately receives the most satisfaction in helping them achieve their goals.
Utilizing his decades of financial industry knowledge, he takes a long-term planning approach and makes careful investment decisions based on where each client belongs on the risk/reward spectrum.
Before Scott joined Raymond James in September 2018, he was a financial advisor at Wachovia/Wells Fargo Advisors and PaineWebber/UBS. He became a financial advisor in 1999 after working on the institutional side of the business at Alex. Brown, Inc. in Baltimore. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in psychology from Randolph-Macon College.
Scott serves as a volunteer at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Liberation Veteran Services. He also helps with various aspects of show production at Characterworks, a Christian youth theater organization, where he enjoys the added benefit of having a front row seat to his daughter’s performances.
Scott is a native of Richmond and lives here today with his daughter, Alex. In his free time, he enjoys basketball, golf and travel. He played college basketball, where he was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America team and inducted in the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
