Martin graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 1981 and began working for Manufacturers Hanover Trust Bank in New York City. He then moved to Charleston, South Carolina, to work with the brokerage firm Johnson, Lane, Space, Smith & Co.
In 1985, Martin transitioned into business management roles and held senior management positions with Castleberry’s Food Company in Augusta, Georgia, for seven years and for Jos. A. Banks Clothier in Baltimore, Maryland, for another seven years. In 1999, Martin returned to the financial services industry with J.C. Bradford/UBS PaineWebber and later with Morgan Keegan. In 2008, Martin joined Wachovia Securities, which later became Wells Fargo Advisors.
Part of Raymond James since 2021, Martin is a financial advisor on a five-person team and has extensive knowledge and experience in all facets of planning, developing and executing customized financial goals.
Martin has two children – a son named Martin Jr. and a daughter named Alexandra – who both reside in Augusta, Georgia. Martin enjoys an active lifestyle, including running, golf, traveling and spending time with his children.
