Ray brings over thirty years experience in the financial services arena, combining both wealth and investment management, trust, estate and financial planning. With a focus on both tax-exempt and taxable income securities, he works with local individuals and families to develop personalized plans to address concerns and meet unique income and asset preservation needs. Ray’s twenty-five years in the trust and estate industries permit him to assist clients in recognizing personal, tax and financial pitfalls and make adjustments accordingly. Ray is a debt-adverse advisor, believing in a lifetime goal of personal and family stewardship. He strives to be his client’s contact of choice when dealing with their individual and financial challenges, and enjoys making “house calls” to perform regular reviews and address issues that impact those he is blessed to serve.
Ray is a graduate from Indiana University (Bloomington) with a degree in Psychology. While holding requisite licenses in investments, insurance, and trust-related designations, he also carries the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ designation. He lives in Spring with his wife of over twenty years, Martha, and their children Carolyn and Paul. Ray is an active member of his church, Spring Cypress Presbyterian, where he acts as a Ruling Elder and an instrumentalist (bass guitar and keyboards) with their Praise Team.
Ray joined Dimpel, Rhoades & Associates in May of 2011 after nearly six years with Merrill Lynch. Prior to then, he worked as a Trust Officer, Administrator, and Manager for banks in Indiana, northwest Arkansas, and lastly with Klein Bank and Trust prior to its merger.
