Roger’s career has always centered around planning. He earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University and began as a land planner, focusing on land-use design, creative solutions and budget execution.
He later pursued business studies at the University of Denver and earned his MBA from the University of Kansas. Roger continues to expand his knowledge through ongoing education and training. A unique part of his family history: His grandfather, as a teenage apprentice in Switzerland, once worked alongside a young Albert Einstein “before he was famous,” as he liked to say.
Roger joined Raymond James in 1994 as a financial advisor and is licensed as a securities principal. He also holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA*) designation. He specializes in guiding clients through complex wealth transitions with a thoughtful blend of experience, wisdom and financial tools.
Roger enjoys life with his wife, Sharon, and their three adult children. An avid outdoorsman, he spends time hiking, biking and skiing.
His community involvement includes past service on the Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Commission and the board of O’Connell Youth Ranch.
Active in his Christian faith, Roger has led Bible studies, youth education programs and multiple church improvement projects. A proud Eagle Scout, he’s also volunteered with a local troop.
Raymond James is not affiliated with and does not endorse the above organizations.
Investments & Wealth Institute™ (The Institute) is the owner of the certification marks “CPWA®,” and “Certified Private Wealth Advisor®.” Use of CPWA®, and/or Certified Private Wealth Advisor® signifies that the user has successfully completed The Institute’s initial and ongoing credentialing requirements for wealth advisors.
