Chris Tuten is a financial advisor with more than 20 years of experience serving the financial needs of families and business owners. He holds securities licenses Series 7, 9, 10, 63, 65 and 66, as well as life, accident and health, and variable insurance licenses. Chris is committed to developing long-term client relationships, focusing on understanding each client’s goals and providing tailored solutions to support every aspect of their wealth management needs.
As your financial advisor, Chris takes a comprehensive and personalized approach. After taking the time to understand your investment objectives and risk tolerance, he works closely with you to develop a customized financial plan designed to pursue your long-term goals. Supported by the extensive resources of Raymond James – including specialists in financial, estate and tax planning, as well as retirement planning and wealth accumulation – Chris helps you build a detailed investment strategy grounded in your broader financial plan. His planning-based approach is designed to address current financial needs while supporting future objectives, helping to reduce tax liabilities, manage estate considerations, gain control of discretionary expenses, and achieve long-term financial success.
Originally from Baxley, Georgia, Chris graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in biological sciences. He has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification and the Certified Wealth Strategist® designation. Before joining Raymond James in 2009, he spent four years with Cantella & Co.
Outside the office, Chris enjoys hunting, fishing, outdoor adventures and spending time with his family. He attends Douglas First Methodist Church. His community involvement includes serving on the South Georgia College Foundation Board, the Wiregrass Technical College South Foundation Board, the Coffee Regional Medical Center Foundation, and participating in Leadership Coffee and Leadership Georgia (class of 2017). He has also served as chairman of the finance committee at Douglas First Methodist Church, past president of the Douglas Lions Club, a leader within the South Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts and past president of the Community Foundation of Coffee County.
