Alan finds great fulfillment in helping individuals and families have a comprehensive plan in place for pursuing their financial goals, particularly the most significant one of all – retirement.
As a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM, Alan has in-depth knowledge of the needs individuals face both before and after retirement. He engages in retirement planning for a variety of important issues, such as sources of retirement income, employer-sponsored retirement plans, tax planning, retirement cash flow, asset management, estate planning and more.
Alan holds Series 63, 65, 7 and 8 securities licenses and has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining Raymond James in June 2018, he worked at Wells Fargo Advisors in Mandeville, where he held the position of First Vice President, Investments. Alan began his career with PaineWebber and Legg Mason in New Orleans. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Louisiana State University and an MBA from Tulane University.
Alan is originally from Opelousas, Louisiana. He and his wife, Alicia, are long-time residents of Mandeville and are members of St. Timothy United Methodist Church. Their daughter, Lindsey, attends LSU.
In his free time, Alan enjoys LSU football and outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking, hunting and fishing. He is a member of the LSU Alumni Association and vice president of the Reserve Homeowners Association. He also serves as a Habitat for Humanity volunteer.
