Mary Jo Claffy

Mary Jo Claffy (MJ) joined the Elevate team as a Client Relationship Consultant in January of 2024. MJ takes pride in the opportunity to interact with our clients daily. She’s the “air traffic controller” for our team. When you call in, she’ll often be the first voice you hear, helping to answer your questions/requests and, if needed, direct you to a team member to assist you further. Her experience, organization skills, and creativity play a huge role in us continuing to find more ways to efficiently meet the needs of our clients.

MJ moved into the Joliet area over 27 years ago with her husband, Milt, and two sons, Mitchell and Evan. She and Milt have a 75-pound pit bull mix, Tia. Tia thinks she’s a lap dog whether you’re ready for her or not, and everything runs on “Tia” time. Evan and his wife, Emily, live in Romeoville with their two furry babies, Luna and Luca, who of course are the apple of Nana’s eye. MJ is a big soccer and football fan and enjoys diamond painting, camping, and spending time with family and friends. Now, give MJ an umbrella drink by the ocean and she’s in heaven.

Mary Jo is a strong advocate against Domestic Violence. Unfortunately, Mary Jo experienced the loss of her son Mitchell in 2022 due to domestic violence. As an advocate, Mary Jo shares “Mitchell’s Story” to bring awareness of Domestic Violence, particularly in the LGBTQ+ community.
