Matt’s passion to serve his client stems from growing up in the investment business. His father, the late David Palmgren, spent twenty years as a financial advisor in the Worcester area. With his desire to help his clients achieve their financial goals, Matt creates an investment plan tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. Matt specializes in comprehensive retirement planning, ensuring clients are prepared and empowered for one of the most important stages of life.
Matt joined ELM Wealth Management in 2017 after spending over four years as a Senior Regional Investment Consultant for Fidelity Institutional Asset Management. There, he earned the prestigious Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist® designation from the College for Financial Planning. Prior to Fidelity, Matt worked in New York City within the alternative investment space. He is a graduate of Providence College.
Matt spends time volunteering at Rose Monahan Hospice Home, as well as mentoring at local Worcester schools with Junior Achievement. He is a member of Business Network International and the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce. He enjoys running, the outdoors, and spending time with his wife, Abby and son, Gus.
