Jim, with his father Rex M. Baker, Jr., joined Raymond James in 1990. He located his office in Emmaus that same year. In 1998, Jim purchased a vacant church building one block from downtown Emmaus. He has renovated the interior into attractive offices and cordially invites clients to visit his “unique” branch. By the summer of 2008, he had earned his ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant®) designation from The American College. In 2008 he then sat for and passed the comprehensive board exam to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERprofessional.  A firm believer in continuing education and the need to maintain his hard-earned professional designations, Jim continues to participate in the continuing education opportunities provided by Raymond James at its conferences and by the industry.
