Dawn Brannon Braun is a local Financial Advisor in Indianapolis, Indiana. She began her financial services career as a 401(k) consultant for Paychex, Inc. in 2003. In 2007 she was recruited by Morgan Stanley/Smith Barney, one of her business partners, to become a financial advisor. In 2010 she transferred her advisory practice to Raymond James in order to offer her clients the investment solutions and services of an innovative financial services firm with an independent perspective and a market reputation for integrity.

Dawn has a passion for helping individuals, families and business owners build solid financial foundations. She has 22 years of experience helping business owners with the implementation and management of 401(k) plans that are most suitable for their businesses and employees. From this experience, her focus has become developing investment and income strategies for individuals at or near retirement age that will help them achieve their lifetime income and legacy goals. She also enjoys helping parents and grandparents implement 529 college savings plans.

A native of the Decatur, Illinois area, Dawn has lived in the metropolitan Indianapolis area since 2002.  She graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, where she was captain of the intercollegiate women’s tennis team and earned all-conference academic honors. Dawn and her husband, Lee, are the parents of a daughter Haydn, age 25 and a son Jack, age 22 (a senior at IU Kelley Business School) and share their home with cats Izzy and Joey.

Away from the office Dawn continues to play tennis as a member of the United States Tennis Association women’s league and watches her family’s sports activities. She is an active volunteer in community affairs including the nonprofit organization Purposeful Living and Outrun the Sun (skin cancer prevention and funding for research). She is a member of Northview Church in Carmel, Indiana where she also serves as a finance committee volunteer. Dawn also served as a volunteer on the Opening Night committee for the Heartland Film Festival each October from 2006-2016 and as the co-chair from 2016-2019.
