Irene is originally from the Lone Star State and grew up in Denison, Texas. She moved to Kokomo, Indiana in 1988 and has worked in financial services for over 35 years. She and her husband, Larry, are active in various service organizations in their community. Irene serves on the Community Foundation of Howard County board where she is on the scholarship committee. She is Chairman of the Board of One 17 International, a non-profit organization started in 2011 to build and operate schools for the left behind in places of urgent physical and spiritual need, and who are currently serving children in Haiti and Cambodia.
Her hobbies include painting, travel and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She currently carries Series 7, Series 24, Series 4, Series 63, and Series 65 licenses, as well as Indiana Life and Health Insurance license.
