Scott chose the name of his practice, Finish Line Financial, because the advice and strategies he and his team offer are a means to an end, whether that end is retirement, college planning, estate planning or otherwise. In conversations with clients, he often finds himself asking, “What’s the finish line for you?” Once that question has been answered, Scott works steadfastly to help them get there.
Prior to joining Raymond James in May 2018, Scott served as a financial advisor with Edward Jones for 22 years. He is a graduate of Olympia High School and a veteran of both the United States Marine Corps Reserves and the United States Navy. Dedicated to lifelong learning, Scott holds his Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM designation from the College for Financial Planning.
Born in Cocoa Beach, Florida, and raised in Olympia, Washington, Scott makes his home in Oak Harbor with his wife, Christine. Scott has served on Oak Harbor’s City Council as well as its Mayor in 2012-2016. The pair have five children: Kelsey, Trevor, DeVere, Govan and Gianna. Scott, a devoted Christian, always finds himself praying for the “wisdom of Solomon” and the “patience of Job.” He has completed 22 full marathons and is always looking for his next one. Scott is also a fervent Seattle Seahawks fan.
