• Jared O'Neal, CFP®

    Financial Advisor, RJFS

    Branch Manager
    SVP, First Florida Wealth Group

Growing up middle class, Jared was always intrigued by how people garner more wealth to improve their lives. He noticed over time that most people do not plan well financially, which can hold them back from living a more desired lifestyle. Learning from a stepfather who was a financial advisor, he had the opportunity to see firsthand how to help people realistically set and meet their goals.

With more than 12 years of varied industry experience, Jared firmly believes wealth management is just as important as wealth accumulation, if not more so. Through financial planning and growth at a reasonable pace, he provides strategic direction and implementation to help his clients meet their personal and professional financial goals. This is how he measures success.

Joining Raymond James in 2006 and helping clients as a financial advisor, he has always appreciated and valued the people, conservative nature and client-first culture of the firm. In addition to working with investor clients, Jared has concurrently held positions that include working with advisors and teams as they transition to the firm, managing sales and directing the cash management division, and specializing in institutional business development. Prior to joining Raymond James, he was a wealth management advisor to high-net-worth clients throughout Ohio and Indiana with Brady Ware Investment Counsel, and an investment specialist at T. Rowe Price providing investment guidance and advisory services.

When selecting a financial planner, you need to feel confident that the person you choose to help you plan for your future is competent and ethical. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional, Jared embodies the values that the designation is aligned with. Individuals certified by CFP® Board have taken the extra step to demonstrate their professionalism by voluntarily submitting to the rigorous CFP® certification process that includes demanding education, examination, experience and ethical requirements. The CFP® certification provides that sense of security by allowing only those who meet the aforementioned requirements the right to use the CFP® certification marks. Honest and ethical, he humbly admits that he doesn’t have all the answers but knows where to find them and structures his life after Luke 6:31, “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.”

Originally from Gautier, Mississippi – home of the Singing River – he holds a bachelor's degree from The University of Southern Mississippi and earned his Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University.

Jared lives in Destin and enjoys spending time with his daughter, Stella. When not working with clients, he enjoys playing golf, listening to music, playing guitar and completing do-it-yourself projects.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
