Sandra Young

Financial Advisor

Sandra (Sandi) Young has 30 years of experience, beginning her career in financial services in 1988 with regional firm Hefren-Tillotson in Pittsburgh. She received her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation while working for another Pittsburgh firm Bill Few & Associates. She joined Raymond James Financial Services in 2005.

As a CFP®, Sandi strives to be more than an advisor offering investment planning. She strongly believes that a financial strategy should be part of reviewing her clients’ complete financial picture. By identifying the strengths and weaknesses in their current scenario, Sandi is better equipped to provide strategies and action plans designed to help her clients achieve their financial goals. As part of her process, she can address areas of insurance, investments, college funding, retirement planning, and estate planning. In the process, Sandi seeks to educate her clients about ongoing changes in these areas.

Sandi’s personal experience of loss has provided insight into the needs of single mothers and widows and widowers as they navigate the decisions that arise after divorce or death. Life-changing events like these can derail even the best plans if one isn’t careful. She endeavors to help guide her clients through important decisions that need to be made while educating and encouraging them in their abilities to manage their finances going forward.

Sandi loves her retirees and considers them to be brave, adaptable people. It’s difficult to keep up with the vast changes in technology, the economy, health care, and day to day activities. Whether it’s long-term care planning, Required Minimum Distribution planning, estate planning, the issues that seniors face today can be overwhelming. Sandi tries to alleviate some of the confusion surrounding these issues while being educated herself by those who have been around a lot longer than she has.

She currently lives in Franklin, PA with her husband Bill, dog Otis, and cat Oreo. She enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking, spending time with her two grandchildren, and participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters, church and community activities and mission trips.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER,  CFP Logo Flame Design and  CFP Logo Plaque Design in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
