Leadership Lodi Class of 2013

Leadership Lodi, formed in 1990, inspires and motivates individuals in our community to achieve higher levels of leadership. The yearlong program provides participants with an opportunity to learn from current leaders about the complexities of the city from a variety of angles. Participants spend a full day on topics such as government, education, law, agribusiness, economic development and more, as they travel the city and meet with the people who help make the city tick. Each year the graduating class creates a project that benefits the community, including fundraising and manual labor, to foster their leadership skills and build teamwork. Grant was privileged to be a part of the class of 2013.

Lions Club

Grant has been part of the Lions Club since 2005, serving as president from 2010 to 2011. Lionism began in June 1917, when a young Chicago insurance agent, Melvin Jones, presented to a group of separate business clubs the idea of consolidating the individual clubs into one strong influential club with the goal of helping the community and serving humanity. The first convention was held in Dallas, Texas, at the Adolphus Hotel October 8, 1917. Twenty-three clubs participated. There are now more than 1.4 million members in over 44,600 clubs in 190 countries and geographic areas.

Team Gleason

Steve Gleason will always be remembered for his blocked punt on the night the New Orleans Superdome reopened for the first time after Hurricane Katrina. Steve played for the New Orleans Saints from 2000 to 2008.  In 2011, Steve was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), considered a terminal neuromuscular disease. Steve is determined to inspire others by continuing to pursue life adventures despite his diagnosis, and he has challenged the worlds of technology and science to identify their most promising developments toward new treatments and a cure.

Steve and his friends and family started Team Gleason to generate public awareness for ALS, raise funding to empower those with ALS to live a rewarding life, and ultimately to find a cure.

Upcoming events

May 5th, 2015

In appreciation of our most loyal and supportive clients, May 5th we hosted a special event at Mulvaney's in downtown Sacramento...and what a great event it was! The food was fantastic, the service was great, the venue was very accomodating, and as for the company we can't say enough...we truly have great clients and thank you all for your business throughout the years and also for making the evening such a success.

Our guest speaker for the night was John Diehl from Hartford Funds. John presented an engaging and thought provoking talk on "The Quality of Life". John's insight into "Who will I have lunch with?", left us asking what these questions have to do with retirement which he replied: "everything".

To learn more about John's Quality of Life presentation, feel free to call our office and Grant will be happy to share with you his thoughts and insights.

The Inner Circle group is comprised only of those who have graciously sent us referrals in the past. The Inner Circle enjoys exclusive events and gatherings hosted by the firm periodically throughout the year. Anyone who refers a potential client receives an automatic membership into The Inner Circle.

October 18th, 2014

A few of us from Fletcher Financial Group headed out to San Andreas to the Elephant Grape Stomp, a fund raising event for The Performing Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). It was an amazing experience and privilege to see these rescued circus and zoo animals living out their lives in a natural environment: happy, healthy, safe and secure. We all had a great time.

PAWS is dedicated to the protection of performing animals to providing sanctuary to the abused, abandoned and retired captive wildlife, the preservation of wild species and their habitat and also to promoting public education about captive wildlife issues.
