Barry S. Steele,

CFP®, ChFC®, CLU® Investment Executive, RJFS

As a graduate of the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power School and an ordained minister, Barry brings a rare combination of technical expertise and emotional strength to his financial practice. Known for his ability to translate complex financial and tax strategies into clear, practical terms, he helps clients not only understand their options but also cultivate a healthy and confident relationship with money. Throughout his career, he has found deep fulfillment guiding individuals and families through meaningful financial milestones—whether selling a business, retiring securely, sending children to college, purchasing a first home, or reaching long‑held personal goals.

Barry’s passion for financial guidance first emerged in the 1990s during his time as a Pastor, where he supported individuals and families through important life decisions. That calling evolved into a new professional direction in 2003 when, while working full time, he returned to college as a full‑time student. Encouraged by the University’s Business Department Chair, Barry explored financial services and ultimately transitioned into the field in 2004, beginning his advisory career with Merrill Lynch.

Deeply committed to community service, Barry is an active member of the Rotary Club of Harrodsburg and Harrodsburg Baptist Church. His leadership experience includes serving as President of the Mercer County Public Library Board, Rotary Club of Harrodsburg, Mercer Youth Soccer Association, and Pioneer Vocational Rehabilitation Services. At Harrodsburg Baptist Church, he has served as Chair of Deacons and Chair of Finance, and he has taught Sunday School for more than 20 years.

A Boyle County native, Barry now lives in Salvisa with his wife, Kimberly. They are the proud parents of three sons—Joel, Daniel, and Micah. In his spare time, Barry enjoys traveling with Kimberly, making wine, and spending time with friends.
