Barry Steele
Barry S. Steele, CPFA Investment Executive, RJFS

As a graduate of the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power School and an ordained minister, Barry brings both a technical and unique personal approach to his practice. He has an incredible ability to translate complicated financial and tax strategies into plain English. He also is gifted to help clients explore what it means to have a healthy relationship with money. Over the years he has enjoyed extraordinary success and found personal fulfillment helping his clients realize their dreams by retiring confidently, sending their children to college, buying their first home or achieving a personal financial goal.

Barry’s passion for financial advice began in the 1990’s as a Pastor counseling individuals and families and became a reality in 2003 when, while working a 40/hour work week, returned to college as a full-time student. At the consistent urging of the University Business Department Chair, Barry interviewed and transitioned to Financial Services in the Fall of 2004 when he joined Merrill Lynch.

Barry is a firm believer in serving and giving back. He currently is a member of Rotary Club of Harrodsburg and Mercer County Library Board serving as Vice President of both organizations. He functions as the Finance Committee Chair and a Sunday School teacher at Harrodsburg Baptist Church and is a past President of Mercer Youth Soccer Association and Pioneer Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

Originally from Boyle County, Barry now lives in Salvisa with his wife Kimberly. They have three sons – Joel, Daniel, and Micah. In his spare time Barry enjoys playing golf, wine-making, and traveling with Kimberly.
