
Mike brings extensive professional experience and a genuine desire to understand others to his role as managing director and partner. His ultimate aim is to care for his clients’ portfolios, so they can spend their time doing what they want to do most. He and his team work to foster a sense of comfort and trust, so clients can feel sure that their finances are being maintained in accordance with their risk tolerance, their needs, and their personal objectives. On a day-to-day basis, Mike meets with clients to understand their goals and provide guidance, and prepares financial plans based on those conversations.
Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science with a minor in business from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. His career began as a broker and vice president with Boettcher and Company from 1984 to 1987. Mike then transitioned to AG Edwards/Wells Fargo, working as a senior vice president and branch manager until 2009. He spent 13 years at his next firm, D.A. Davidson & Co., serving first as a branch manager until 2022, and then as a senior vice president advisor until his recent transition to Raymond James. Mike has also served as a branch manager in the financial industry for 30 years. This wealth of experience has strengthened his ability to serve his clients and communicate with them responsively and dynamically, no matter their financial goals or situation.
Outside the office, Mike enjoys traveling, mountain biking, spending time with his family, and serving others as part of his faith. Originally from Hollywood, California, Mike moved to Utah at a young age and currently lives in Draper, Utah with his wife, Melanie. He has five grown children and 16 grandchildren.
