Colin is a detail-oriented and patient professional in his role as a financial advisor and FPW partner. He values taking the time to truly get to know his clients, believing that trust and understanding is instrumental in allowing him to provide tailored advice and a customized, detailed financial plan. Clients rely on him to care for their finances while they focus on the important things in life, with a clear vision of their financial goals and how to get there.
Colin works primarily with individual investors, but he also serves small business owners and medical professionals. On an ongoing basis, he meets with his clients and builds their portfolios, while staying up to date on his keen understanding of financial planning software as a tool to aid in his work. Being a Certified Wealth Strategist® designee further enhances his ability to serve his clients’ distinct needs.
He studied at both Utah Valley University and the University of Phoenix, and has accumulated over a decade of professional experience in various financial services roles – the majority of which as a financial advisor. Other roles that have strengthened his professional skillset include his time as an advisor assistant at D.A. Davidson & Co., account executive at Salt Lake Bees/Utah Jazz, group sales manager at Salt Lake Bees and senior financial advisor at D.A. Davidson & Co.
Colin stays active outside of the office as well, volunteering in his community as a youth baseball coach, church youth group leader and PGA Tour volunteer. He enjoys golf, mountain biking, baseball and traveling. Originally from Draper, Utah, Colin now lives in Herriman, Utah with his wife, Ashley, and children Paityn, Crew, Oakley and Afton.
