The two words most used to describe Chad Henry are driven and practical. His first foray into entrepreneurship was at age nine when he had two newspaper routes, one delivering in the mornings before school and the other an evening newspaper route. Growing up on a farm in rural Dixon, IL, he learned the work ethic and midwestern values that are cornerstones to who he is today.
Hard work is definitely part of Chad’s genetic make-up. He has spent years in the financial planning industry, been featured as a key-note speaker at dozens of respected industry conferences and teaches regularly throughout the country, where he guides financial professionals on innovative strategy and processes. He is the author of Social Security and Retirement Income Planning for Boomers, a must read, he believes, for upcoming retirees.
In 2002, Chad left the comfort of a “regular” job and began his path as a financial planner. He went on to complete much more than the basic licensing. Chad holds his series 7, 9, 10, 63, and 65 securities licenses, and the Life and Health Insurance licenses in multiple states. In addition, he is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist ®, completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional program through DePaul University, holds his Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation and is a Financial Advisor with Raymond James Financial Services. The aforementioned build upon his educational foundation, a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Illinois University in 1997. Today, he is the owner and founder of Forthright Financial Planning, LLC – a company whose mission is to help business owners, medical professionals, retirees and widows, invest to create lifelong, tax efficient cashflow streams that exceed their budgetary needs, encourage team collaboration by working within a “family office” approach including your CPA, attorney, insurance professional, and other consultants in the process to create a cohesive team that focuses on YOUR SUCESS.
Now, Chad and his wife, Mary Ann, fill their free time with all the awesome daily endeavors of their three children (Nathan 14, Leah 12 & Abby 11). Chad enjoys coaching youth sports and has coached football, baseball and softball in the past. Together with several others, he founded and started a local Pop Warner Football and Cheer charitable organization in 2011. He is an active member of the chamber of commerce, serves on two non-profit boards (Cal’s Angels & The Voluntary Action Center) plus regularly serves as a volunteer for several non-profits, including his church.
Investing involves risk and you may incur a profit or loss regardless of strategy selected.
