Financial Advisor David L. Burg has more than 25 years of experience advising clients regarding income planning for retirement, asset allocation, annuity selection, alternative investment strategies, retirement plans, mutual funds, life and long-term-care insurance, and estate planning related services. His investment management focus and holistic approach to financial planning provide effective strategies to help his clients meet their goals with the objective of securing their financial futures.

David is a graduate of University of Miami (Master of Laws in Estate Planning, LL.M.), Columbia College (BA), UCLA Law School (JD), and The Anderson School at UCLA (MBA). He holds the professional certifications of a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) professional and holds industry designations of Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) and Accredited Domestic Partnership Advisor (ADPA®). Though he does not provide legal services, he is a member of The Florida Bar and The State Bar of California and a past member of The New York State Bar Association.

Prior to joining Fortuna Wealth in 2021, David was first vice president of investments with Wells Fargo Advisors. Earlier in his career he practiced corporate and banking law at the Wall Street firm Shearman & Sterling and estate planning and trust administration law at the South Florida firm Dunwody, White and Landon.

David believes in contributing to his community. He is former president and past board member of the Coral Gables South Dade Estate Planning Council, and former member of the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida, American Mensa and the Ocean Reef Club. His charitable interests include Save the Children, Heifer International and cancer research.

David currently resides in Miami with his spouse of 20 years Rose and their two children. He is enthusiastic about nutrition and biking and enjoys international travel having lived in various countries for extended periods.
