Richard Knight is a financial advisor with over 10 years of industry experience. As a Certified Financial Planner® professional, Richard provides comprehensive financial planning and investment management advice built around each client’s goals, values and life stage. Richard believes that financial advice should be disciplined, transparent and always centered on the client’s best interests. He takes time to understand each client’s family dynamics and priorities, so their financial strategy aligns with what matters most to them. Richard is detail-oriented and educational in his approach. He believes informed clients make better decisions, and he prioritizes clear communication that helps clients filter out noise and stay focused – especially during periods of market or life uncertainty.
In addition to his work as an advisor, Richard serves as a logistics officer in the Army National Guard and enjoys working with military members and veterans. His experience influences how he plans and communicates, emphasizing structure, preparation and steady decision-making under pressure. Prior to joining Raymond James in 2026, Richard served as a director and financial advisor with Truist Investment Services. Outside the office, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristen, and their daughter, Shiloh. As a family, they enjoy weekends at Disney, vacations to the mountains and cheering on Philadelphia sports – especially the Eagles and Phillies.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in interdisciplinary science with a concentration in military science from Florida Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) and the National Guard Association of Florida (NGAFL).
