Being “Better Together” is one of Freedom Street Partners’ core values and one of the main reasons Dave was attracted to the Freedom Street Partners team. Dave loves to describe his role as a Curator of Great Ideas. He joined the team in 2021 as the Director of Practice Management, which he felt presented an ideal opportunity to share his 20-years of content, program, and coaching experience with a team striving to be the best at helping clients live better lives.
In Dave's previous position with Raymond James, also as the Director of Practice Management, he created and managed a program that helped advisory teams build more robust practices with deeper relationships and broader service levels for clients. His programs and resources were featured in a cover story in Research magazine, from ThinkAdvisors publications. The programs have won two industry awards for outstanding achievement in practice management support and continue to be used by thousands of branches throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Dave understands the needs of advisors and their clients because of his extensive industry experience. He ran two branches within the Raymond James Financial group and was also a financial advisor. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Practitioner, a Registered Corporate Coach®, and even ran the nuclear reactor on a Navy fast-attack submarine. He earned his Bachelor of Science with a focus on Administrative Management Studies from Excelsior College, University of the State of New York. He also earned a certificate in Financial Planning from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL.
I've been blessed to be surrounded by people who are inspired to help others. My wife, Sherrie, has taught for decades in a school that serves economically disadvantaged families. She frequently works with children who have been separated from their parents or are homeless. We seldom have to search far for someone in need of some support.
Jessica, my oldest daughter, works for a non-profit mental health provider and runs the intake program for at-risk children. She and her husband, Jason, have also given us our first granddaughter, Lola. I’m still getting used to being called “Papa.”
Samantha, my youngest, has played every sport imaginable and just graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Physiology and Kinesiology. She loves working with kids and is looking for a job that blends this with her love of sports.
I love restoring things. My latest project is a 30’ cruising catamaran which has now been returned to service in support of my life-long love for sailing. When I’m not on the boat, you can find me kayaking, fishing, or camping in the cooler months of Florida.
