
Joe began his 36 year financial services career in 1985 with Shearson Lehman Brothers in Newton Centre, MA. He joined as an Operations Manager trainee. Later that year he was promoted to Operations Manager of the Newton Centre branch. In 1987 he was named to a team of 10 operations managers across the country to design the firm’s 1st Operations Manager’s manual. In 1988 Joe was promoted to Vice President of Operations. Also, in 1988 he became licensed by passing the Series 7 exam, Series 63 exam, Series 3 exam, Series 65 exam and the Life, Accident, Health and Annuity Insurance licenses. Joe continues to study and pass exams for the securities industry’s continuing education requirements.
In 1990 Joe entered into the company’s esteemed Financial Advisor Training Program. In 1991 Joe graduated from the program and has been managing his client’s wealth for the past 31 years. In 1999 Joe left Massachusetts and joined Morgan Stanley in Huntsville as Assistant Vice President, Financial Advisor. In 2001 Joe received his Certified Estate PlannerTM designation by passing a comprehensive year-long course. In 2017, Joe left Merrill Lynch after 11 years where he served as Vice President, Senior Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager to join Financial Strategies Group, LLC. Joe’s fields of expertise include portfolio management, retirement planning, estate planning, education planning and municipal bonds among others. He assists his clients with formulating their goals. After determining their goals, risk tolerances, time frame and reason for investing, Joe prepares recommendations based on asset allocation principles. His many years of experience in developing strategies and designing portfolios affords his clients an opportunity to achieve their financial objectives.
Joe grew up in western Pennsylvania where he attended Laurel Highlands High School. He attended California University of Pennsylvania and majored in Business Administration. He is happily married to Jamie for 41 years and they have two daughters, Nikki and Cassie. Joe’s community service includes personal assistance to several groups affiliated with his church, Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Huntsville. For the past 5 years he has assisted with fund raising efforts for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Some of Joe’s personal interests include his family, golf, reading and biking. He is an avid sports enthusiast and he and Jamie love to travel.
