Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region
Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential. We make meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct lasting effect on the lives of young people.
Family & Children’s Services of Mid-Michigan
Family & Children’s Services of Mid-Michigan has been helping the Great Lakes Bay Region since 1925. We seek to help our community grow into habits of self-love and self-acceptance that create a path to happiness and self-contentment. We offer creative approaches to assist people in achieving their goals for health and/or recovery, allowing them to set the pace. We have experience dealing with anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, stress management, and grief. We are a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. Our approach is to help people first find well-being and peace in themselves and then use that to help manage their mental health.
Shelterhouse of Midland and Gladwin Counties
Shelterhouse is a nonprofit organization committed to providing safety, shelter, advocacy and counseling to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Zonta Club of Midland
Zonta Club of Midland (ZCOM) is a service organization of business executives and volunteers working together to advance the status of women in Midland and around the world. ZCOM partners with area organizations, funds service grants and provides scholarships for women.
Home to Stay
Home To Stay Housing Assistance Center promotes self-sufficiency to Midland County residents in need of stable housing and support services. Our countless volunteers, devoted board of directors and staff have a collective vision of a community with safe, stable housing for all. No one should have to worry about where they’re going to sleep tonight and if they’ll be safe. We are designated by the State of Michigan as the Housing Assessment and Resource Agency (HARA) for Midland County, making us a recognized central point of intake for high-need individuals and families facing eviction or homelessness.
Reece Endeavor of Midland
Our mission is to meet the growing housing needs of people with special needs throughout Midland County. We want to offer them stability and affordability and help them become integrated into the community.
The Legacy Center
The Legacy Center changes the trajectory of people’s lives as we help them reach their full potential. We help our neighbors build the reading, language, and math skills they need to succeed. We equip young people to make responsible choices. We are a local collaborative partner committed to increasing the impact of agencies in Midland County.
Cancer Services of Midland
We are your local cancer services agency, and we are here to provide personal and compassionate support to cancer patients and their caregivers in our community. We currently offer a diverse range of unique services to cancer patients, such as financial aid, support groups, private counseling, transportation assistance to appointments and treatments, and non-medical supplies such as wigs, prostheses, and food supplements.
Disability Network of Mid-Michigan
Disability Network of Mid-Michigan is leading the charge to change societal attitudes about people with disabilities, and to provide an environment where everyone, regardless of their abilities, can contribute to their communities based on their own interests, skills, and desires. Through a variety of services, DNMM provides assistance to people with disabilities, their families, and the community. We determine our impact by the quality of services we provide and by the improved quality of life of individuals we support.
Children’s Grief Center Great Lakes Bay Region
Our Mission is to provide a healing environment through peer support for children, teens, and their families grieving a death. Our Vision is to continue to expand awareness about the impact of grief and each individual’s ability to build resilience, strength, and hope by acknowledging and working through grief.
