    Financial Advisor

My greatest honor in life was partnering with my mother, Phylis Boksen, to form Genesis Wealth Management of Raymond James. My mother worked as a Financial Advisor in the Largo-Belleair branch of Raymond James since 1993. Her absolute and unwavering commitment to her clients, not to mention her sheer tenacity and brilliance, is her greatest legacy to me. I honor her memory every day by servicing our clients with absolute dedication and conviction to making a true positive impact on their lives.

Let me digress for a moment: I grew up a Raymond James kid – when I was a child, family vacations were Raymond James conventions and I spent my formative years at the Largo office completing homework assignments. My first job in high school was filing for the Advisors in my mother’s branch. To be candid, my mother’s clients and colleagues have always felt like extended family to me. Family has always been my bedrock, the foundation for all my values and priorities.

I attended the University of Tampa graduating with my Bachelor of Science Degree at the age of 20. I then attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law where I obtained my Juris Doctor degree. While in law school, during the summer semesters I attended the University of Tampa Sykes College of Business where I earned my Masters Degree in Business Administration. I believe that a comprehensive education in both law and business enables me to help clients with the most complex issues they face throughout their lives, those that encompass business and personal issues. Most often these challenges intersect in both the legal and financial realm.

Determination and the relentless pursuit of excellence and worthwhile goals are among the most important qualities my parents instilled in me. I spent over a decade enhancing and honing my skills and experience, covering a myriad of specialties, including commercial litigation, family law, estates and trust matters, business law and then finally as corporate counsel dealing with securitized assets, commercial mortgage backed securities, and regulatory issues.

While I had initially followed in my father’s footsteps in law, it was my mother who provided the illumination and paved the way for my true passion. The amazing relationships built and the results she achieved for her clients throughout her career as a Financial Advisor, inspired me to continue on the path I’d truly been training for my entire life. I saw it was now time to focus on helping people with the most important aspect of their lives, the one that causes the most fear and stress, the aspect that touches virtually every aspect of our lives, financial planning. My mission became to help alleviate that stress and fear by becoming their Financial Advisor. This profession not only allows me to touch and improve the lives of our clients, but future generations and charitable causes as well.

I have ultimately found a way to combine all my experience and the things I love and value in the one place that I had always felt was home, Raymond James. My mom and I agreed that with my experience, education and expertise I would provide a great deal of value to our clients and new clients alike. This decision became the genesis for Genesis Wealth Management of Raymond James.

I am very passionate about my community previously serving on the Board of Trustees for the Tampa Orlando Pinellas Foundation, the Board of Directors for the Greater Largo Library Foundation, the Board of Directors for DePaul School for Dyslexia, and as Treasurer for the Board of Trustees for Congregation Beth Shalom. I am a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Clearwater Bar Association, Hadassah, the University of Tampa Alumni Association, as well as an alumni of the Jewish Federation of Tampa Hope Cohen Barnett Leadership Training Institute. I currently serve as Co-President Jewish National Fund-Tampa Bay. I spend my free time with my two supportive and amazing sons (along with my eight dogs) who keep me busy.
