Since 2000, Rod has helped clients steadily pursue their retirement and investment goals through some unprecedented economic climates. He enjoys helping clients understand not only the makeup of the investments they own but also why those investments were recommended for their portfolios. Rod has completed the rigorous requirements to achieve certification as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional and continues to meet ongoing certification renewal requirements.
Rod's career as a financial planner began when he joined A.G. Edwards & Sons in 2000, and he continued to assist clients with their financial planning needs through two buyouts by Wachovia Securities and Wells Fargo Advisors.
Originally from Wayne, Nebraska, and later Clear Lake, Iowa, Rod attended Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, on a basketball scholarship. Besides playing basketball, Rod was involved in the Student Alumni Association, held a part-time job as a law clerk, and completed an internship with then Kansas Governor Bill Graves.
