A New Jersey native, John J. has been helping manage high net worth families’ investments since 1982. As a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, he utilizes the CFP® professional planning process, integrating and combining the tax, retirement, investment, estate and risk management aspects of each client’s life. He feels that all pieces need to be considered and addressed if the planning as a whole is to work efficiently.
John has lectured for Johns Hopkins University Medical Center for the past 25 years, and is a regular contributor of articles and videos for Ophthalmology Times. John has been featured on the front cover of Financial Planning Magazine and received with his wife, Traudy, the first Humanitarian Award* from the Financial Planning Association of New Jersey for their work in helping to establish corneal eye banks around the world. Both John and Traudy have traveled the world visiting existing and proposed eye banks in remote parts of many continents.
Next to his family, John’s true passion is helping others improve the quality of their lives through detailed financial planning. He believes that establishing a sound financial plan, managing that plan and revisiting a person’s goals, helps reduce stress and therefore increases health and happiness. His investment philosophy is to take no more risk than is absolutely necessary to meet their financial goals.
In addition to spending time with his clients, John enjoys traveling, running, biking, skiing, kayaking and exercising. He has been playing instruments from a very early age, when he learned first to play the accordion and then the organ. He also plays violin, guitar and piano.
