Mitchell Nordstrom joined Raymond James in 2023 and brings a client-first approach to financial planning and investment management. His focus is helping individuals and families gain a holistic understanding of their financial picture so they can make informed decisions and work toward a “work-optional” lifestyle.
As part of a six-person team with more than 40 years of combined industry experience, Mitchell delivers proactive, personalized service that goes far beyond the typical annual review. He specializes in serving business owners and young professionals, offering guidance on everything from college planning and mortgage strategies to estate planning and equity compensation.
Before becoming a financial advisor, Mitchell served as assistant director at McLean Presbyterian Church, where he oversaw ministry operations and leadership development. He also gained hands-on experience in fixed income markets as a municipal bond trading intern at Raymond James. Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business and economics from Auburn University and holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist℠ (AAMS®) designation.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Mitchell now lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Outside the office, he enjoys poker, playing golf, working out and reading. He is actively involved in his community through organizations such as Rotary Club of Buckhead, International Justice Mission and Compassion International.
