Dave believes that the key to designing a sound wealth management program is to begin with well-defined goals and objectives. His focus on long-term investing is driven by a disciplined, conservative approach well-grounded in industry research. His asset management philosophy includes diversification and defensive market strategies designed to reduce portfolio volatility.
He has extensive experience in serving high-net-worth clients, particularly high-end specialists in the medical field. He addresses critical financial issues such as wealth transfers within multigenerational families and applies his expertise in financial planning, tax planning and estate planning.
As a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner, Dave has been dedicated to helping his clients work toward their financial goals by guiding them through the six-step investment planning process set forth by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. In addition, Dave is a licensed, but non-practicing CPA, a Personal Financial Specialist and holds several securities and insurance licenses.
Dave earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in tax and financial planning from the University of Cincinnati, and an MBA in finance from Northern Kentucky University. He began his financial services career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) providing financial planning and investment consulting with an international accounting firm. In 2006, he joined A.G. Edwards & Sons, which merged with Wachovia Securities and became Wells Fargo Advisors. He joined Raymond James in 2013.
Dave lives in Loveland with his wife, Amy, and their twins, Nick and Emma. He is a member of the Personal Financial Planning divisions of the American Institute of CPAs and the Ohio Society of CPAs.
