Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Avie studied in Israel for five years and received a certification in teaching. His studies also concentrated on humanism and the ability to help others in the quest for mental and spiritual growth. Prior to joining Raymond James, Avie worked for Legg Mason for 28 years and Wells Fargo for 13 years. Away from the office, Avie enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennie, and their children and grandchildren. Additionally, he spends his free time doing charitable work for numerous organizations.
