Jim graduated from Wayne State University Business School in 1985, worked as a financial advisor at First Heritage, Smith Hague (which became First of Michigan) and joined Roney & Company in 1997, which in 1999 became Raymond James & Associates.

A Michigan native, Jim was raised in Grosse Pointe Park, the youngest of 12 children, and has resided in Grosse Pointe Woods with his wife and two daughters for the past 10 years.

When not working, Jim enjoys spending quality time with his family. Come fall, he's out in the woods ever searching for the trophy buck.
