Van applies more than 23 years of experience in the financial services industry to helping the affluent individuals and families he serves have a solid plan in place for managing and preserving their wealth, and building a legacy.

He began his in 1993 with Edward Jones and, in 1995, joined Roney & Company, which became part of the Raymond James family in 1999. Since then, he has consistently ranked among the firm’s top advisors. He has been an esteemed member of the Raymond James Chairman’s Council every year since 2007, and a member of the Raymond James President’s Club for the three years prior to that.1In 2009, he was recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 Advisor by On Wall Street.2

A graduate of The Ohio State University, Van earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. In addition, he completed the Raymond James Institute of Finance program to become an Investment Management Consultant, and he has obtained the wealth management specialist designation. Van also holds several securities credentials including Series 7, 9, 10, 31, 63 and 65 licenses.

A Detroit native, Van attended De La Salle Collegiate High School in Warren and currently resides in Grosse Pointe with his wife, Wendy, and their two boys, Noah and Andrew. In his free time, Van enjoys fishing and coaching Little League baseball. He is a member of the Lion’s Club and the Grosse Pointe Hill Association.
