Alex Gunter

Financial Advisor

Hard work was a character trait that was instilled in me from a young age. I was raised on a farm in Western Pennsylvania, and learned what it means put in the work. I began wrestling in the 3rd grade which I feel was a time that really set the trajectory of my life moving forward. Wrestling taught me many life lessons, discipline, tenacity, situational ownership, and leadership. I was lead throughout my wrestling career by none other than my father. It seemed fitting to continue as a team throughout the remainder of my professional career with the man that helped to instill many of these traits in me. As Dave, Steve Uzonyi and myself continue to serve our valued clients, I look forward to applying these same character traits to the work I do for Gunter Financial Group. I hope to develop deep, trusting relationships with our clients to help further achieve not only their financial goals, but the financial goals of generations to come.

I began my career journey as a student at Clarion University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2014. Since college, I have spent about 6 years within the banking and financial industry. Throughout my career, I have worked in many different roles from the ground floor of the bank with PNC, to various support roles for Financial Advisors at PNC Investments and Fidelity. I have been a Financial Advisor since 2020 and have expanded my knowledge while working with Equitable Advisors before joining the team at Gunter Financial Group of Raymond James. I also hold the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation.

Outside of the office, I am an active member of my church as well as a family man to my wife, Kara, son, Jett, and daughter Noah. I enjoy spending time outdoors and enjoy fitness activities and challenges.
