Maegan Dornan,
CFP® Managing Partner, Hall & Dornan Capital Partners Wealth Manager, RJFSWith a decade of liability‑side experience prior to becoming a financial advisor, Maegan brings an analytical advantage that helps clients see how borrowing, risk management, and contingency planning work alongside long‑term investment strategies. As the firm’s lead liability and risk management strategist, she integrates often overlooked elements, such as long‑term care analysis, insurance frameworks, and scenario‑based contingency plans to support not just wealth growth but financial durability through every life stage. Her work equips clients with clarity and confidence, especially during periods of transition or uncertainty when sound decision making matters most.
Maegan also takes pride in helping build a truly distinct practice. Hall & Dornan Capital Partners is an independent, women-led advisory firm intentionally structured to deliver:
- collaborative and diverse thinking,
- wide-ranging expertise, and
- a high-touch service model with care for individuals and families.
Shifting to independence in partnership with Raymond James in 2023 gave the firm the freedom to tailor its approach entirely around client priorities, supported by industry‑leading research, technology, and operational resources.
Before co‑founding the firm, Maegan served as a financial advisor with Hall & Dornan Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors for more than seven years. She is a graduate of the University of Washington, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in economics.
A Seattle native, Maegan lives in the Renton Highlands with her husband, Jonathan, and their miniature dachshund, Cooper. Outside the office, she enjoys fitness, cooking, all things health and wellness, and escaping to Hawaii whenever possible. She and Jonathan are also proud Seattle professional football superfans and never miss a home game.
