With more than 39 years of experience in the financial industry, Leon has seen his clients through some challenging market and economic conditions. His consistent client-based consultative approach to institutional investing and retail asset management has resulted in client relationships that span more than two decades and three generations. As the leader of the group , Leon’s responsibilities include developing fixed income strategies and institutional money management.

Leon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, and a Masters of Science degree in finance from California State University, Long Beach. Leon also holds Series 63, 4, 53, 7, and 24 licenses.

He served in the Air Force from 1968 - 1972 and achieved the rank of Captain. Leon began his career in the financial services industry in 1975 at Bossier Bank, where he served as Vice President, Bond Department. In 1988, he joined Commercial National Bank, Shreveport, as Manager, Capital Markets, and served through several mergers and buyouts until the bank became part of AmSouth Bank. Leon joined Morgan Keegan in 2007, which became a part of Raymond James in 2013.

Leon is originally from Ball, Louisiana. Today, he makes his home in Shreveport with his wife, Joyce. When not working or spending time with his grandchildren, Leon serves as a deacon and trustee at Brookwood Baptist Church and as treasurer for the Shreveport chapter of Gideons International.
